The Aquile Chairman has revealed that he is nearing an agreement with the Nerazzurri President on the transfer that could be worth around €8m to €10m.
Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that he has been in contact with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan President to negotiate the sale of Matias Silvestre, and has stated that the transfer is nearing its completion.
The Argentine international joined the Eagles from Catania only last season, and his desire to play for a bigger club could see him move to the Milan giants in the summer transfer window.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658 player has also earned links with AC Milan and a number of foreign clubs, but the latest reports suggest that the defender is on his way to the Nerazzurri.
Zamparini revealed that he has had personal contact with the Rossoneri President to discuss the transfer of Silvestre, and stated that the Diavolo chief shares his thoughts about the future of the centre-back.
The Rosanero patron stressed that the negotiations regarding the sale of the Eagles defender is nearing its conclusion, and revealed that the central defender could be let go by the club for a sum of around €8 million to €10 million.
The Aquile President went on to state that the fact that the matter was in the hands of the two chiefs rather than their sporting directors, has allowed the two clubs to reach the deal much more swiftly.
In an interview with Radio Radio, the Italian businessman said:
“I met with President Massimo Moratti. We spoke about Silvestre and we are on the same page. There is a 99 per cent chance that a deal will be done. It will be a transfer worth around €8m to €10m. It is a lot easier to do deals when Presidents negotiate
than when sporting directors hold discussions…”

Zamparini revealed that the left-back has been offered a new three-year deal, and stated that he is confident that the handsome amount on the new contract will lure the defender to remain at the club.
