Rumours have emerged that the Rosanero are looking to replace the current boss with Edy Reja or Giuseppe Sannino at the end of the season.
Corriere dello has claimed that Palermo have already made their decision to sack manager, Bortolo Mutti, at the end of the ongoing season.
Moreover, the source claims that Edy Reja is the first in line to replace Mutti followed by Giuseppe Sannino as the second preference. It is believed that Edy Reja might join the Rosanero after following out in relations with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775
president, where he has already threatened to quit on two occasions.
Reja is followed in line by Sannino, who has won tremendous praise for his first campaign in Serie A with a modest Siena. The manager joined the Robur after Antonio Conte left Siena following Juventus’s return to top-flight.
Valentina Mezzaroma, President of Siena, has heaped praise on the talented coach, saying that Sannino not only continued the brilliant work of Antonio Conte, but also added a lot of his unique value into the team. The President
said that he has had enough of coaches leaving his club for better opportunities, and hoped that Sannino will stay at the club for an extended period of time.
While talking to the press, the Siena boss said:
“Sannino deserved Serie A. He’s continued the work of Conte, but he’s also added a lot of his own ideas. Next season? I don’t want to start a tradition of launching tacticians and then letting them go elsewhere. I think that Sannino
wants to stay with us for at least one more year.”
Sannino has been coaching Italian clubs since 1996, though none of those clubs were from the Serie A before Siena.
He may be the most likely to replace Mutti, since it is still unclear if Edy Reja will be willing to quit Lazio. The Biancazzurri are currently placed third in the Serie A points table, and a good end could force the Lazio management
to keep the coach at any cost.
