Question:

Palin's handling of her daughter's pregnancy: Does it demonstrate her ability to handle problems? ?

Mrs. Palin has clearly demonstrated an ability to handle problems -- in this case, her daughter's pregnancy -- with calm, grace, honesty, optimism, wisdom, and responsibility.

She has not panicked. She has not flown off the handle. She has not tried to cover it up.

She has not whined and moaned about how things SHOULD be -- but instead is handling the situation AS IT IS.

Is there anyone out there who does NOT want these qualities in a potential president?

  1. She covered it up for 5 months. Now that she and her family is in the spotlight, she had to confess because her daughter is showing her baby bump now. No lie. McCain's camp was asked about the allegations about Trig being Bristol's baby, and they came out with the truth about Bristol being pregnant. You're soooo stupid for falling for it....  all she demonstrated was that she is a another sneaky snake Republican.

  2. it seems to me that all concerned are handling this in a responsible manner.  you can count on the democrats, tho, to jump all over gov palin...as they already started doing within minutes of her being selected...the hypocrisy of the supposedly 'pro-woman' party knows no bounds; at least, gov palin isn't whining about her daughter being 'punished with a baby'...her daughter's decision to NOT abort will infuriate the far left as much as gov palin's decision to NOT abort her last child

  3. yes, she has handled it my putting her own daughter in the line of fire.  all it shows is how selfish she is.  so selfish that she place more importance on her career than her children.

  4. Apparently the dems don't.

  5. I wonder what she thinks of her "abstinence education only" stance now lmao.

  6. The problem began when Palin only advocated for abstinence programs rather than teaching our youth (hers including) about sexual responsibility.

I don't want abstinent only programs being taught in school.  Her abstinence only policy didn't work out too well for her. It doesn't seem like Palin has learned from her mistakes.  Not learning from your mistakes is not considered leadership quality.

I am surprised that Palin has the gall to advocate for such programs when she failed at applying them to her own family. The religious right love to impose their morality on the majority even when it backfires on them.

  7. Yes:)

  8. Perhaps if Palan was a better mother and spent more time with her daughter; things might be a little brighter in the Palan household. I thinks she is handling this matter very selfishly without thought to her own family's needs. Speaks volumes on her potential governing should something happen to McCain; that scares the c**p out of many voters and Americans.

  9. She is great and would make a fine Vice President.

  10. She is a very strong woman, great qualities for a VP. If anything should ever happen to McCain, I would feel comfortable with her as CIC.

  11. personally i feel it shows her to be a bad mother. i feel she should have known the media circus that would hit once the news got out about her daughter. how can any decent mother put her daughter out to dry like that?  she should have told mccain ty but no ty i dont need to be putting myself out there like that at a time like this for my childs sake. i do not need to put her out there for the ridicule of the world just for a job. my child must come first. but no she chose the job which in turn put her daughter right out there for all the world to take there pot shots at. shame on palin. and how do u know what was said in the privacy of their own home when their daughter came to them with this news? u only see what she puts out there for u to see who have no idea if she ranted and raved at her daughter for this what u heard was someone who had time to sit down and write out a speech that would sound good to tell the american public and put her in the best light possible.

  12. Yes Palin's a mother.

It's her view's on pro life, pro firearms, global warming and

the non-distribution of contraceptives in school-based clinics that

    scare me.

  13. In my opinion...it was none of our business until she was chosen as a vp candidate. She started to put her cards on the table slowly as not to shock the world. She did tell the truth, she did not hide it. She is not snake but a mother protecting her daughter from harm. She is learning to balance her family and her career. You do know she has another daughter who has downes syndrome I think they said and she has handled that well. She has not abandoned her family or her country. I may not like McCain...but so far this lady has my respect.

  14. yes its not even a problem. i mean god we not living in the middle ages where unplanned pregnancies are automatically a death sentence. lots of very successful women had unplanned pregnancies and lots of those kids went on to be successful. i don't see what the fuss is abt i think people should just leave palin's kids alone and stop grasping at anything and everything in order to bring her down

  15. I need to steer clear of this section of the site.

Most of you staunch liberals and conservatives are so full of ****.

  16. She is handling this very personal family issue that has been made very public with grace and dignity.

  17. yes, palin is a perfect VP choice.
