  1. It's over cons.  McCain is loosing support faster than long term memory.

  2. Sarah palin was mayor before she was governor. Both jobs give her executive experience of which Obama has ZIP!

  3. Running a state as Governor takes leadership. She has leadership experience. Obama voted a few times. Big whoop.

  4. In both political and life, Palin is more experienced and has accomplished more.

  5. Ask Diebolt.  It's up to them.

  6. The Governor's Executive experience trumps legislative experience.

  7. With a 80% approval rating and the Democratic Congress about 11%.

    She is doing something right.

She does represent something outside of Washington unlike Biden.

She is going to be tough.

  8. a former beauty queen and soccer mom over Obama....hmm...I'll take Obama....

  9. This totally throws the election off huh ? I'm VERY happy that Mccain picked Palin :) .  Oh and Obama who ?

  10. Obama.  No one cares about Alaska.  Seriously they can't even get oil companies to drill there.  Being governor of Alaska doesn't count as experience, it is barely a state.

  11. Palin, but she's only served a year and a half as governor.

  12. I'll take the Gov over a community organizer

  13. Palin has more knowledge and experience in her little pinkie than Obama has in his whole socialist head.  She will make a fine VP.

  14. Gee, 20 years in public life (Obama) or one term as Alaska governor (whose entire population is less than the Tampa Bay area).

Interesting you tout "executive experience" so highly when your ancient candidate has NONE.

  15. I'd say Palin has a slight lead -- she was also mayor of . . . Anchorage, was it?  However, I think in terms of real executive experience, a governor beats a senator.  A gov. is responsible for running a large business with a budget, deadlines, etc.  A senator just has to be able to talk.

  16. VP. A governer has to run a state just like 1/50th of the country. A senator votes on bills. HUGE difference. That is why up till this election a senator hasn't been president in decades.

  17. Beautiful choice on McCain's part. That takes away from all the women who are pissed that the Demon-crats are sexist. Looking at her record she was very sucessful. What has Obama been doing since 1992? Here's what she's been doing.

Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, she challenged the incumbent mayor, criticizing wasteful spending and high taxes. The ex-mayor and sheriff tried to organize a recall campaign, but failed. Palin kept her campaign promises, reducing her own salary, as well as reducing property taxes 60%. She ran for reelection against the former mayor in 1999, winning by an even larger margin. Palin was also elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.

In 2006, Palin, running on a clean-government campaign, executed an upset victory over then-Gov. Murkowski in the Republican gubernatorial primary.[8] Despite the lack of support from party leaders and being outspent by her Democratic opponent, she went on to win the general election in November 2006, defeating former Governor Tony Knowles.[8] Palin said in 2006 that education, public safety, and transportation would be three cornerstones of her administration.[11]

When elected, Palin became the first woman to be Alaska's governor, and the youngest governor in Alaskan history at 42 years old upon taking office. Palin was also the first Alaskan governor born after Alaska achieved U.S. statehood. She was also the first Alaskan governor not to be inaugurated in Juneau, instead choosing to hold her inauguration ceremony in Fairbanks

  18. This is a stupid question... McCain has them all beat together!

  19. Well since Palin has Executive Experience as a Governor and is the only one between the two parties with that on her side I would say she has the most experience. She is a FANTASTIC choice and I am very proud of that!

  20. Palin is more experienced in honorable life experience, and she's running as vice-president.

  21. Palin wins hands down

  22. Palin, without a doubt. Also, being governor is executive experience, which is more relevant for a presidential candidate that legislative experience. In any case, being vice president is a great way to gain the experience needed to be president. On the other hand, being president is not a great way to gain experience. As an esteemed senator once said, the presidency is "not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

  23. This is great news.. It shows that the GOP is the party of women's rights and advancement. What a wonderful pick in my opinion.

  24. She's served LESS than 2 years. Biden will have her running back to her igloo.......

  25. Gov. Palin. It's a no brain'er.

  26. Palin is running for VP and Obama is running for PRESIDENT.  Which office would you rather have the more experienced person in?
