Question:

Palin and her children?

I made a comment about this and I've been reading a some answers to a few questions that raised the issue of Palin having a special needs child and still running for VP. I have worked with special needs children and they are a joy but they do require extra care - anyone who says that they don't is a liar or hasn't ever been in contact with one. Further, this isn't a 15 or 16 year old who is largely independent (at that point, they don't require much more care than any other child), this is a 4 month old baby. How can that not make a difference to the party of family values? I'm not an uber conservative but I'm very disturbed by this. Again, this isn't a teenager or even a child, this is a new baby, just born in April. I'm certainly not suggesting that women should be in the kitchen baking cookies and making paper plate animals everyday but, really. VP's travel constantly, shouldn't this woman want to at least be in the same state as her child?

  1. It's a pretty clear statement on her priorities.  So much for "family values".

  2. Hey! Good idea questioning this! Here is my answer on another post!

Palin is a mother of 5 children including one who is an infant with Down Syndrome... where the F&^% is she going to find time to be a VP. Plus she has little to no experience talking to HUGE crowds she is going to face during the VP debates...Biden is going to beat her with a 2x4 during those. She has less experiance then Obama, she has no experience in National governement. Switching from little Alaska which in some cases doesn't even face the same issues that continental states do - and switching over to NATIONAL politics. That is too big of a jump for a woman who is not only not know but retareded! Here is my theory. The fact that she is a woman with the opinion that women should sacrifice their lives for an unborn child and that the big man gets to make decisions for us shows she has no respect for women and like it or not MOST AMERICAN'S agree with Row v Wade! (If they didn't you would have overturned it already) plus the only way you guys can overturn it is by undemocratic like beliefs taking over the court system and filling it with politics instead of interpretation of the law. My theory is she should have been aborted and I would rather vote for Dora the Explorer then McCain/Palin because she at least has something new to say every day instead of the same old redoric! You republicans are crazy and are going to die off soon enough. In case you haven't noticed the 100,000 of youth showing up for Obama, the youth are the future....they'll live longer then you! And just incase you haven't noticed the HUGE audience that Obama can pull out of his butt and the barely filled cubical that McCain commands...anyone who GENUINLY thinks that Obama will lose is stupid and should educate themselves. Join N Trade and let me have your money! (Especially since you make over 5 million if you are for him...)

ALSO DO SOME RESEARCH! She is under investigation right now for her spending.... try watching cspan or cnn at least 10 minutes before you make yourself look like an idiot!

  3. I  agree 100 % with you

  4. I grew up with 2 terminal disabled sisters.  My parents choose to keep them at home and care for them.  That says a whole lot about character and family.  Many people would ship disabled babies off to a care facility or give them up to the state.

Palin keeping her baby at home says a whole lot about character and family values.  Having disabled children or sisters, ect., changes you forever - in a very good way - it makes you a better person - I believe a good person could do many wonderful things for this country.

  5. Yes, it is just common sense. I agree with what you wrote.

This woman doesn't have her priorities straight.

The Mother child bond should be more important that political ambition.

  6. Lets give the Lady a chance. She still has to accept the nomination and I seriously doubt she would if her family were to be a problem in holding this office. Besides maybe shes just what America needs today as the rest arent working. Give her a chance. Destiny is

  7. You make a good point.  Would a mother with a special needs child have time to be vp..let alone Pres?  A new born, any new born needs their mom around most of the time.  Her husband works too, so when are they able to be with their new baby?  I suppose though, she's one of the lucky women that are able to afford child care..

  8. Look the child can travel with her.  Its not like she is travelling on a Greyhound bus.  Secondly the visibility her candidacy brings to families with special needs kids is great.  I can't believe nitwits would attack her on this issue.

  9. It's gonna be awesome to watch her handle the situation with class and dignity.  Can't wait myself.

She's rich as h**l.  Don't worry.  She's gonna be ok, so will the kid.  She's got it all under control.

    McCain-Palin!

  10. John Edwards had a wife stricken with cancer and that didn't stop him from his campaign. Heck, it didn't even stop him from s******g around on her.

    Puleeeze....

  11. There are a lot of moms of children with disabilities that work full time.  If she was a surgeon and had long, irregular hours you probably wouldn't be calling her out on this.  And I'm pretty sure Angel 1 can make room for a baby, he can probably go with her on a lot of domestic trips.

  12. The child does have a father..and she wont be away all of the time..

  13. While I understand what you are saying, you are also assuming that when the VP travels, her baby won't be with her.  At the very least, that baby will have access to many caretakers - the kid will hardly be neglected.  Also, I would imagine that the choice to have that baby was mutual, with both Palin and her husband.  The father seems to be in the picture - what difference is it if he becomes the primary caregiver?

Based on your logic, if a normal, run of the mill mom who has to work (or, even chooses to work) a full time job puts her special needs infant in day care or with a grandparent or a nanny, is that disturbing as well?  Just curious.  Not everyone can be Mother Theresa.
