  1. Palin is clearly a raving power-mad lunatic.

  2. This is very disturbing, no wonder the mainline press didn't pick the story up. It reminds me of Gonzo's purges in the Department of Justice. We might be getting Bush/Cheney with a vengeance.

  3. Yet another sign of inexperience.

  4. Well I don't know why this question is in the Military section.  Maybe try Government and politics in the election section.

  5. Maybe you should learn something about how government works.

It is an almost universal practice for a mayor, governor or president to have staff members provide him/her with undated letters of resignation to be placed in their filed.

Haven't you noticed that all of these people resign and they are never officially fired?

  6. When a President is re-elected for a second term it is customary for him to have his cabinet officers from his first term submit their letters of resignation.

In the case of Mayor Palin she was getting rid of some "dead wood" in her municipal government. People who had retired at their desks on the people's money. People who, if you asked why they were doing something, they replied "that's the way we've always done it here". Any business consultant will tell you that is a clear sign of organizational inertia.

  7. This isn't a military question. Go back one section and bust her out there. Why does this woman scare folks so bad. Can't have humble beginnings? I guess she should have grown up on the East Coast as a blueblood, went to Yale or Havard and stated to run for president as soon as she got to the Senate.

  8. Amen M1A1Mike... it is STANDARD practice unless a liberal town-council had put in an ordinance prohibiting it !!  MOST "management" positions in ANY government change with a change in leadership / administration.

Why just look at the CLINTON administration who made THOUSANDS resign... and replaced them with cronies.  As did the W. Bush on a smaller scale.

AMAZING how the Democrats / Socialists are scrapping at ANYTHING right now.

  9. According to one lunatic here, it's "almost universal practice" to force signatures of resignation from your staff and file it away for a rainy day. :) . Er, yes, I'm pretty sure that was almost universal practice working for the chancellor in Germany around, 1939 :). I don't think I've ever heard of that one before, nor it appears the reporters who contributed articles of the story in a dozen newspapers.

I think Palin is clearly in the same alternate universe as the neo-con lovers who regularly post here. You can't get a better example of paranoia, megalomania, inexperience, and outright tyranny than to force civic employees to pledge loyalty to yourself. Dangerously delusional woman, and it's no surprise that the usual nutjobs headed by Rush Limbaugh are coming out of the woodwork to support this little Tracy Flick.

    She's trash.

  10. Interesting.  Football coaches, among others, long ago learned that fear and intimidation is far inferior to team building, cooperation, and mutual support in achieving results.

  11. Wow, you all are so scared of her it's hilarious. This is the Worst thing you can come up with. LOL

I also don't take... the washington independent very seriously.
