  1. neither he did it because she is the hottest governor in the nation and she is a Republican good combo and i think Mccain is in love!

  2. Well calculated and SMART!

    McCain/Pailin 08!

Lisa baby: learn how to spell sweetie.

  3. Desperate act of panic. McCain obviously didn't think it through very well. Palin is up to the top of her hairdo in an ethics scandal and the report is going to come out just before the election.

  4. Probably both from the McCain camp perspective.  However, the VP debate will be interesting.  It may be:

    1. the most watched VP debate ever.

    2. a victory for McCain/Palin.  Biden will have to win HANDS DOWN or it will be percieved a victory for Palin.

Bottom line we will make history either way.

    1. A bi-racial man wins the white house...or

    2. A woman becomes VP.

    America wins either way.

  5. Neither.

We can all see the fear from the liberal leftist.

Get some miles out of your Marxist Leader....he won't be around long!

  6. Nothing desperate about it. Smart, just plain smart. Demos are starting to squirm.

    McCain/Palin  2008.

    ><

  7. It's a desperate act for sure, and I don't think it was that well calculated.  But it is still too early to see if it pays off putting the Prom Queen grandma on the ticket.

  8. VERY well calculated strategy! McCain will win now!

  9. I truly don't expect Palin to do anything to draw in additional support.  But she was obviously targeted at the religious fundamentalists of the right and the middle of the road women.  Unfortunately for McCain, only a very small fraction of women will vote for a candidate simply because she's a woman.  He should have learned that from Bush's success during the past two elections.

  10. Desperate act. What a joke she is for vp. What the h**l is Mccain thinking.

  11. Desperate act - comon would McCain pick some random crazy white woman from Alaska unless he knew he was going to loose anyway???

  12. mccain is not intelligent enough to form a well calculated scheme.

  13. Both makes democrats scramble for balance to match, while attracting dissatisfied Hillary supporters.

  14. depends on who you ask.

If you ask Dems, they'll say desperate act. If you ask Republicans, we'll say the latter.

  15. Both.

A calculated effort at desperation is the best way to describe it.

In reality, though, it's political suicide.

  16. It's called magic. Now you see Obama, now you don't. Who's really going to complain when Obama gets beat by a girl? It's brilliant.

  17. Neither.

It was a selection of the best possible candidate to hold the office of the VP he could have made at this particular point in American History. I am duly impressed by his brilliant choice.

It goes FAR beyond political scheming, it sets the stage for the next surge toward American freedom and equality, and a move toward encouraging citizens to assume personal responsibility.

It takes us away from the rush toward Marxism.

  18. What I know is that if they are on the Republican ticket as far as I am concerned they are the WORST THING IN THE WORLD FOR AMERICANS AND THE WHOLE WORLD.

LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN TO OUR COUNTRY.  GEEZE-LOUISE AND THEY ARE STILL HARPING ABOUT DEMOCRATS.

We do one thing......... they know how to win.  The problem is it is at the expense of everyone else AND our country.  I mean the country they live in.  They did it in 8 years and have no regret, shame.

It will take decades to get out of this mess that we are in.... no that the republicans have put us in.  But what do we hear.  NONSENSE ABOUT SOME X USA PAGENT RUNNER UP, PTA CHAIRMAN.  This is OUR COUNTRY.  You guys need to get serious.

  19. I say both.  In terms of holding onto Hillary supporters, it was desperate.  In terms of bolstering McCain's questionable conservative credentials, it was well-calculated.  I think Palin will solidify the conservative vote for McCain.

  20. no, like it is said in Football a great “hail mary” move… great moment in history … the first female VP will be Republican..THEN the first female president will be also Republican ..her!

.she has DONE things that Obama dreams of doing.... like against after her OWN party on corruption.…when if EVER obama has done the same in the highly corrupt Democrat party uh?...I say she is more for change than obama is...she has DONE it! Look it up!

  21. You decide.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9pnzQ96k...

how could someone who does NOT know what the VP does be VP ? .

  22. It was neither desperate or a scheme.  The desperate ones are the Obamabots that are in denial as to who the real powerhouse team is....that would be McCain/Palin in 08!!

  23. As the general feedback proves, she is just what most of this nation wants and needs. McCain has been struggling before losing to Bush for reform in the beltway. He hates the corruption and "bridges to nowhere." Obviously, Palin feels like that, too.

No mistake in this decision. He wants real change, reform and a good government. He is dedicated and would die for his cause. He is betting the farm that decent people will recognize that Sarah Palin is for real. She is authentic and has the credentials to prove that she hates corruption and wicked government as much as John McCain.

Obama, George Soros's surrogate, simply wants to be the first "black man" to be President. He nonsensical slogan for some kind of change was worn very thin. He has all the sound and fury but means nothing.

  24. Yes, it's a scheme based on desperation.

Neocons want to keep stealing and they like dummies who follow orders.

  25. Both, But democrats Men and Women are usually thinkers, so the ploy won't work.

  26. Well calculated.  Jusst like Obama's choice of Biden was meant to find a McCain clone, so was Palin the young, minority choice.  However, she differs with Obama because she has challenged her party and won.  She is not afraid to make enemies within her party.

  27. perhaps both but it's yet to be seen.

First of all it is a desparate act.  If McCain thought he was ahead and had a good chance of winning in November he wouldn't have made such a bold move.  Politicians who perceive themselves as winning try hard not to rock the boat.

The second part depends on how americans take to Palin.  If they love her it was brilliant if they don't it is a terrible mistake.

  28. Both. Desperate for Hillary supporters and calculated scheme for  Big Oil"Governor Palin is chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multi-state government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources"

Seriously, lets look at the facts

    1. She directly opposes Hillary Clinton on the issues like abortion, evironment, creationism, g*y marriage.

    http://www.issues2000.org/Sarah_Palin.ht...

    2. She doesn't know what a VP does.

    Palins Biography.

  29. McCain pulled in 7 million dollars in one day after the announcement.

Excellent tactical move!!!  I bet Hillary is really pissed now!!

    McCain 2008

  30. Desperation.  Palin is going to be the Ferraro of 2008 - not just that she is her party's first female VP nominee, but the choice will be widely seen before election day as a big mistake.  Her inexperience, the obvious cynicism involved in choosing her, and information that will come out about her involvement in persecuting her ex brother in law, possibly as well as other scandals, will make this a big minus.

  31. Personal attacks on Palin for VP: Desperate act or calculated scheme?

    I'm going with "desperation."
