  5. The article you site brings out information which is interesting, but dated. Alaska now has the ability to provide for these needed earmarks. Earmarks are appropriate when funds are needed to build infrastructure on which an economy can build or rebuild itself.

    Gov. Palin says it's time Alaska grows up and provides for itself. The revenue forecast indicates it will have the wherewithal to do that. It's a matter now of using that revenue to fund capital projects in communities, building infrastructure to grow Alaska's economy.

  7. I did not realize Palin had a secret position in the US Senate which allowed her to vote on bills with earmarks.

    Are you also implying that she alone got earmarks, or her state as a whole?
