Palin was chosen so McCain can...?

Solidify his base (republicans). Has he solidified his base? As a Hillary voter for McCain, I'm fully onboard now. I was going to vote for McCain anyways. His VP pick wasn't just about the Hillary voters. If it was, Palin would've been the opposite of Palin. Now if the Hillary voters and people who refuse to vote for Obama want to come onboard, they're welcome to. Palin just sealed the deal for us Hillary voters. Obama can't solidify his base.

If you really believe that Hillary will win in 2012 and that is your justification for voting for McCain, you will end up a very unhappy person in 2012.  BTW - you do not speak for all Hillary supporters.  The Hillary supporters I know are deeply offended that he picked a woman thinking that they are a bunch of sheep that will just vote for any woman.  Way to be part of the McCain flock.

I think John McCain has a good strategy by picking a women as a running mate, he is in for sure now disgruntled Hillary voters which made up 27% of the democrats will flock so Palin and McCain. I think Obama screwed himself the second he didn't pick Hillary.

Your Republican strategists panicked.  They fed news organizations polls saying democratic Hillary voters are going to flock to McCain JUST BECAUSE HE IS WHITE.  Rascist baiting at its worst.

Now because we told them to get bent, they've  come up with something more palatable.  If You want to vote for a woman, I've got a woman on my ticket.  After all, they all look alike.

No middle class person votes Republican.  Phony Republican Election victories have been BOUGHT AND PAID FOR since 1980.

When November's vote count shows Republicans winning after the current sitting authority has just 10% approval (I haven't seen an approval poll in a year since it was 20%!), you know the fix is in.

Why would Hillary supporters vote for a PRESIDENTIAL candidate who is so obviously pandering to them by putting a woman on the bottom of the ticket, one who is 180 degrees apart from Hillary on many issues?  The only way that would make sense if if they are voting for McCain for no other reason than his VP is a woman.  How is that beneficial to women or the country as a whole?
