Pallasator raring to go for hat-trick
Two victories off three-race career is a marvellous feat that has boosted up Pallasator’s morale to such an extent as he can make a big impact in any big race. This is the reason most of the sport experts are considering the Sir Mark Prescott Bt trained bay gelding a strong candidate for today’s high-profile race of Vale UK Handicap that will dog down at Haydock racecourse.
Having passed through an extensive drill for almost two weeks, the three-year-old novice horse is now h**l-bent to complete his hat-trick by beating the five worthy competitors in this class 3 contest. To achieve this end, he will have to sprint over 1 mile and 6 furlongs with the surface being heavy.
Both the venue and the ground condition are new to Pallasator, and no one knows how will he behave in this situation, but the punters seem to be confident of his capabilities. The trainer too hopes that his brilliant pupil will not take it as a big deal to run and win today.
This claim is strengthened by the gelding’s excellent track record. He debuted on December 5, 2011, finishing 4th in the 12-runner event of Crowhurst Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
The son of Motivator out of Ela Athena marvellously broke his maiden by winning the Join At The Races On Facebook Median Auction Maiden Stakes, held at Leicester on July 25, 2012. He fought hard and beat the hot-favourite rival, Sound Hearts, by a neck’s margin.
The maverick sprinter stepped forward to seal a sterling success in the 32Red Handicap that took place at Kempton on September 6.
In today’s marathon, the Newsells Park Stud bred gelding will run under Luke Morris who drove him nicely in his last start.
The trainer has left no stone unturned to prepare his pupil for the mega challenge. Pallasator’s fans are anxious to watch him fighting ardently.
However, we must not overlook the fact that Varnish can give tough time to the hot favourite horse. The legendary trainer Richard Hannon’s chestnut filly has achieved two triumphs and three runner-up ranks in her seven-race career.
So, an awe-inspiring clash is just on the cards. Let us enjoy it.
