Palm Centro At&t. Cost extra money for instant messaging?

Question

I have unlimited text messaging but not unlimited internet. I can log into AIM but I was wondering if it costs money to sign on? Would I be using the internet if I sign on my phone? Or would it just be the same as unlimited texting without the use of internet? thanks :)

you dont have to pay as long as you have the unlimited messaging so it doesnt cost to instant message which is a nice feature.
