Palm Centro Flashed to Cricket-Garmin GPS?

I will be receiving a Palm Centro In the mail anyday now. I will have it flashed to cricket and i know that some of the applications like Sprint tv and stuff wont work obviously, but will garmin gps since it is used by a micro sd work? How does it work? It doesn't have to connect to a wireless server that cricket probably doesn't have, will it? Will i be fine to go ahead and buy Garmin GPS?

I've used cricket before and I know that they really don't offer much as far as services go.  I would suggest going to a dealer and asking them there, however I know that certain things such as pictures and videos will not be able to be sent using a phone flashed for cricket.
