Palm Centro Questions?

Hi I just recently got a Palm Centro and i was wondering if anyone knew how to delete messages in bulk amounts opposed to having to go to every message and deleting them individually?

Also, does anyone know how to set up an alarm (not through the calendar application)

to delete messages in bulk go to the message icon and then at the very top left hand corner just push on it and you will get a menu that gives several options go to purge and then follow the prompts that ask to delete all messages and as far as the alarm i still cannot figure out how to set one without going to the calander or task menu ....i dont think you can without one of those
