  1. My boyfriend had the At&t tilt, until he got pissed cause he hated it and threw it and broke it (it kept freezing as well).... I recently got the Palm Centro, and I absolutely love it and so does he .. he is about to get the Centro too. Well, the good about Palm I'll say everything, I have it for a month i haven't found anything bad about it i mean the keyboard is alittle small at first but you get use to it. that's all i got to contribute =)

  2. Centro:

    Pro

    Easy to use

    Price

    Size

    Good build and call quality

Good amount of 3rd party support

    Solid battery life

    Con:

Older software(The current Palm OS software is almost 6 years old), that has only see minor security and tweak updates.

For some people it is too small(keyboard wise)

    Slower than expected for some

Slower internet connection and less third party options to browse the web(the default browser Blazer is not the best)

    Tilt

    Pro

A whole range of third party support and third party firmware to make the device faster and have a nicer interface

A full list of connectivity all the way from wifi, to 3G internet, to GPS navigation.

You have a whole list of internet browsers to use to browse the web(the default browser Internet explorer mobile 6 and 6.1 is decent at best, much better than Palm's Blazer, but not as good as Opera Mobile or Mini).

Keyboard is nice to use(some find it to big or hate slide out keyboards).

    Just a plain powerful device

Solid audio, call and build quality

    Con

A little on the large side.

Slide out keyboard not for everyone

    Cost more than the Centro

Windows mobile touch screen software is not the friendliest interface out there.

If I may make a suggestion. I would look at the BlackJack II from Samsung or the Motorola Q9h, which both offer a balance of features of both devices you are looking at. They are not touch screen devices, but they do run an easier to use version of Windows mobile, while having the smaller form factor of the Centro. They don't have wifi, but they do offer 3G and GPS like the Tilt. Not to mention both cost less than the Tilt and the Centro at around 50 for the BlackJack II and $75 for the Q9h.
