Palm Desktop Replacement Needed?

Palm Desktop (the address / calendar software that comes bundled with Palm) has been giving me serious problems - lost chunks of address book entries. I've upgraded to Ver 6.2.1 that's supposed to run under Vista. Restoring backups provide some solution but not a solution. I've almost given up. What can I replace it with? My Tungsten T3 doesn't sync as well as it used to. I'm very very frustrated with always losing address book entries, especially the ones that i updated recently.

The other thing to try is to run virtual XP on Vista and then try loading Palm desktop again.  There are versions Vista that do work with the latest Palm desktop.  IIRC Ultimate?

This is a major reason I've not moved / nor have a desire to run Vista.
