Palm Treo 755p. Malfunction?? Help.?

Question

I was using my palm treo and all of a sudden the access powered logo and the palm logos started flashing , now no matter what I do the phone will not turn on. It keeps flashing Access Powered and Palm Logo. I took out the battery, hooked up the charger, held the power button for 10 seconds, nothing will get me to my applications screen. Is this a serious malfunction or ..... How can I fix this

my moms palm treo 755p does the same flashing the keypad lights up then palm&access powered light comes on but when i called to fix that problem they told me to take the battery out then hold down the power button while the battery is out and place the battery in while  still holding down the power button  then its going to ask you if you want to reset the phone if you click yes your phone will delete everything including contacts  if you do that then it should work then take out the battery every day before going to bed because it is a smart-phone and you run allot of applications on it it might run slow and do the light flashing thing

but just be sure to take out the battery before going to bed  i tend to do when i go to bed and when i wake up in the morning u can also let it sit for about 5-10 minutes let me know if it works

my palm centro has done this maybe twice.

take the battery out, leave it out for a little while, and then put it back in. once when this happened it would not turn on, so since i have insurance on my phone when i took it into the sprint store i had to get a new one. but just take the battery out for maybe 5-10 minutes.
