Palmar sur, costa rica?

has anyone been there? is there shopping, dining, ocean to swim at or anything at all to do in that town???

  1. Not much to do there.  They do have a bunch of those perfectly round pre-Columbus stones there.  First beach is about 30-40 minutes north.  It is the cross roads in the south.  North along the coast and south to Corcovado and Panama.   I have spent some time in Palmar Norte just across the river and I would suggest just passing through.  Not much to do, kind of dirty for tourist and crazy hot.


  2. We spent a week at the Melia , central coast, about 4 years ago.

    Great golf, interesting little seasides towns nearby but the coast there wasn't like Miami, for sure.  Beach is o.k., you can rent Seadoos and stuff.

    Has the largest free formed swimming pool in Central America...  Huge iguanas, parrots, monkeys,,,, raft trips available, etc.....

  3. nope... just a small town with small stores and the ocean is like an hour drive.
