Pampelonne, trained by Charlie Longsdon, is of significant interest to the bookies.
The 6-year-old daughter of Oscar out of Bondi Storm, performed well in the season debut. She finished in second place to Dreambrook Lady on 13th January, 2012, at Huntingdon, in the Equimark Horseboxes Mares’ Novices Handicap Hurdle.
Patavium, owned by J. A. Nixon, is also turning heads. At the age of 9, the son of Titus Livius out of Arcevia is facing young competitors.
Despite his age, he aced the Leeds Handicap Hurdle, which was held at Leeds on 12th January, 2012.
His trainer, Edwin Tuer is hoping that this performance will be just as commendable.
Monarch’s Way is also one of strong competitors in this race. The 5-year-old is the son of King’s Best out of La Bayadere, and began 2012 with a fairly good start.
He finished in 4th place on 14 January, 2012, at Warwick, in the Betfred Goals Galore Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.

Bocamix, the 6-year-old son of Linamix out of Bocanegra, has a lot of support. This is based on his performance on 18th January, 2012.
He succeeded in crossing the wire first at Southwell in the Southwell-Racecourse.co.uk Handicap Hurdle, which made his trainer, Andrew Crook and his owner, Mrs. Helen Sinclair, proud of their horse.
He made a commendable effort chasing the leaders and finally defeated Skenakilla Cross.
Ginger Grey’s winning odds have been calculated as 10 to 1. This will be the 5-year-old gelding’s first race of the season.
He finished 2011 in an impressive manner when he secured a victory on 28th December, 2011.
Trained by David O’Meara, Ginger Grey showed his skills as he breezed past Cavite Eta at Catterick, in the Buy Your 2012 Annual Badge Today Maiden Hurdle (Div II).
According to the betting forecast, Pampelonne is likely to lead the race. Her odds of winning are 4 to 1 and she enjoys the status of being the race favourite in this race.
The second place may be awarded to Patavium, based on his previous performances and his winning odds, which are calculated as 6 to 1.
The third place is anyone’s game, but Monarch’s Way and
Bocamix may finish close to each other, much likely one of them grabbing the third spot, or even either of them creating an upset altogather along with Patavium.
