Pan Am Badminton Championships Team Event: Daniel Paiola beats Nyl Yakura in Men’s Singles clash
Daniel Paiola, a talented player from Brazil, finally proved his worth as he played with an impressive speed and tamed Canada’s Nyl Yakura in Men’s Singles clash at the XVII Pan Am Badminton Championships Team Event on Monday, October 8, in Peru.
The passionate Paiola, who was in tremendous form on court while playing against his Canadian challenger, showed his improvement in all departments of the game and eventually registered victory over Yakura in a spectacular fashion.
Paiola got a strong position from opening rallies of the contest and he maintained his dominating all the way to earn victory in straight games with a decent margin by taking 34 minutes on court.
Yakura, on the other hand, played with aggression but failed to create a difference as his rival was on a different level. He could not find gaps to place his shots and eventually lost this Men’s Singles battle without taking any game.
In the first set, both participants showed aggression by executing powerful smashes and strong pushes but none of them could set up a reasonable lead at the opening stage.
However, Paiola geared up his speed in all areas and managed to set up a reasonable gap on score board until the mid-game interval.
The in-form Paiola continued playing in the similar fashion without showing any sign of confusion and remained successful in winning the first game with a reasonable 21-17 score on the board.
In the following set, Paiola was in complete control of the game as he played positive and fast badminton and remained successful in maintaining his upper hand over his Canadian rival.
The Brazilian player was in complete control and took a decent lead until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Paiola was in no mood to slow down the pace of rallies and he maintained the speed at the highest level.
The powerful shots of Paiola helped his to dictate the pace and overpowered the set with a 21-16 margin on the board.
Paiola ended up this Men’s Singles contest in just 34 minutes with a 21-17 and 21-16 score on the board.
