  1. why dont u visit the Panama Consulate and ask for literature on this.

  2. I have talked with people who have attended both of these schools in Panama City and they spoke well of their experiences at the schools and also in Panama City. I have no personal experience with either school.

The prices for both the programs and housing in Panama and Costa Rica are double what it is in some other Central American countries.Personally,I chose Guatemala because in addition to the lowest tuition and living costs on the planet it is truly a one teacher to one student ratio as opposed to a one to two,one to three or my favorite "small intimate groups" which might be,in addition to you, composed of a retired nurse from Amsterdam and a hungover ex-cop from Atlanta who pays way more attention to the the cute 19 year backpacker from Portland at the next table than he does to whatever your spanish teacher is trying to say. I believe it's also easier in Guatemala or Nicaragua to get away from other English speakers and achieve "total immersion" which is the key that unlocks the rapid learning leading to fluency. Later I studied in Colombia for a little while where it is said they speak the purest Spanish in Latin America and have no discernible accent. I found that in order to reach any degree of fluency in another language you "must" learn to think in Spanish instead of constantly thinking in your native language and then translating your thoughts to Spanish. Total immersion  will make that happen, free salsa lessons will not.

Buena suerte a usted! By taking this bold step you will soon be able to converse with about 300 million more people in the world....now how cool is that!!

I hope something here was of help to you.Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.I have an opinion on almost everything.

  3. www.ilisa.com  - this is recommended among tourists and expats.  Not cheapest, but they do offer much of what everyone is looking for, especially what you are describing.  It's an all-in-one package you can get.  Consider that hotels are booked to capacity and rentals here in Panama City are VERY expensive right now it's probably the best package deal running.
