Panama City or Portobello shore excursion in Panama?

Has anyone done either or these cruise excursions? Trying to decide which would be better.

Portobello shore ... that is beautiful, but it is a rustic trip... there isn't much for tourism out that way, you'd have to make your own trip and Colon area can be a danger zone in reality.

I do recommend Panama City.  Its busting at the seams with nightlife, clubs, restaurants and other shows of different calibers.  From there you can go up to Coronado (about 1 hour away)  it's a great beach.. unlike north america the beaches here are usually empty!  it's great and has a nice resort "Coronado Beach Resort" coronadoesvida.com.

There are also several other really great beaches including the well known Decameron beach resort which is an all inclusive beach resort hotel and has numerous activities and parties going on day and night throughout the week (3,000 rooms).

panama city is really just a bunch of office buildings unless it includes a trip to the canal visitors center threes not much to see.
