I need to know what an average home in Panama is like..

What it is made of, how you live inside...what the beds or bedrooms are like...?

I need to "describe a typical home" in Panama.

  1. They are basically the same, just a few differences in construction due to the nature of the tropical weather we endure in Panama.

Most of the houses are made of cement blocks, and the interior divisions are made of cement blocks as well.  In the US the interior of a house is typically made out of drywall.

Just like in the US, you'll find a dining area, a living room, etc.  Depending on the size of the house, you'll find 3 or more bedrooms.  Usually the master bedroom has a full size bathroom, and there's another bathroom for the other rooms.  Sometimes there's a guest bathroom near the living room.

Beds are just the same, Cable TV has most of the same programming you have in the US.  DVD's, VCR's, DVR's (TiVo).

I guess the only main difference is that the houses here seldomly come with a main AC/Heater unit, as we don't have winter in the tropics.  Therefore usually people install AC units in each bedroom, and most of the times they are used when it's bedtime.  If you don't mind the electric bill, then you use the AC unit all day long!

So in a nutshell it's basically the same.  Of course there will be differences if you do a minute study, but then again there won't be that much.

    Hope it helps!
