  1. generally front forks take up to 2.5 if they are disc wheels. rim brake wheels may need slightly thinner tyres. the back is where you'll have difficulties. downhill and similar bikes have wider swing arms do allow wider tyres. hardtails tend to be limited to about 2.3. as the previous comment said, it depends on your bike. i have a caldera and it will only take 2.35 max. check the specs and see if they say anything. failing that, measure the space between the rear arms where the tyre runs through on your frame. you will want some space either side of the tyre too don't forget when measuring

  2. What kona do you have?  Go online and look at the specs of kona's.  Or look at pics of kona and see what size of tire they have and judge by the pic.  If you got a good bike shop by your house go to the bike shop and ask.

After reading more, If your bike shop said 2.10 and thinking about it, I really dont think it would fit.  I think the most would be 2.3 and even then I think it would be tight.  I wouldnt risk buying the 2.4 and find out they wont fit.

I wanted to run 2.4 but my frame wouldnt take.  I went and found a frame that would except a 2.4 tire.
