Right. My bedroom has no cable line. I have been given a chunky Panasonic analog tv.

PV..q? g? -2511 is the model number.

Anyway, the remote for this bad boy was lost ages ago. The front of the TV has a built in VHS player. There are no ways to switch between those special auxilary channels (but yes, it does have plugs for those built in).

Some time ago, I tried hooking up a DVD player to see if I could switch it to channel 3 and access it that way. Nothing. I've tried using other stuff for this guy, but nothing works.

Tell me, is there some kind of secret way I could switch this thing to those channels and make this tv worth something? I do not have the remote, but would consider buying some kind of universal remote. Thanks.

  1. buy a all in to 1 remote cost 4.99 at wal mart

  2. Most of the TV/VCRs that I have seen have a/v OUTPUT jacks.  But if you do have input jacks,a universal remote should do the trick. Not all of the cheapie remotes work on TV/VCR combos,so ask questions before you buy (like "what is your return policy if this doesn't work?")

If you only have a coax input ,not to worry , you can purchase a RF modulator that will convert a/v  to channel3/4. I've seen them for as low as $10 at Big Lots or $5-$25 on ebay and elsewhere.   good luck!

    Good luck.
