Panasonic DVD RV 32 remote broken, help to unlock code?

We went out to get a dvd and returned to discover the dog had chewed the remote and broken it. We have a code that we have to input via the remote in order to watch any dvd's, does anyone know if it is possible to bypass this without the remote or do we need to purchase another? Many thanks

I am not positive I understand.

You will want to get a programmable remote (and a box of dog bones) to operate your Panasonic.

Programmable remotes are available everywhere for a few dollars. The remote code for a Panasonic DVD is 0490. If the programmable remote uses only three digits drop the leading zero.
