Panasonic Dvd recorder DMR-E50 is

Panasonic Dvd recorder DMR-E50 is locking up. I get the disk error. I can't record or finalize. When I try to title it won't let me. It's not bad disks, I've tried all of them. If I try to record, it lasts 20 seconds before shutting down to recovery mode.
