Question:

Panasonic Home Theatre Only Works With Analogue Channels?

I have connected a digital optical cable from the digital optical output of my LG Plasma to the digital optical input of my Panasonic Home Theatre system.

I select "Digital In" as the source but only get sound from the speakers when watching Analogue signals. I do not get any sound whatsoever when viewing digital channels, which in my case is all channels but one.

It doesnt make sense because both the digital and analogue channels are accessed by selecting "TV" on the tv's source list, and are not seperate. Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. It sounds like you have the analogue  (the red & white) connections hooked up correct, thats why analogue channels work.

But yeah, there is a problem on the digital side, hopefully a simple one.

    * Is there an option to check for 'optical audio out' on the plasma?

    * make sure your selecting the right  source in, some amps have 2 optical and possibly a coax as well.

Sorry I cant think of much else.
