Question:

Panasonic Microwave NN-A770S getting hot on right...

I have a panasonic inverter combination microwave which gets very hot on the external RHS, just above the base. This happens when using the microwave only. As I have a service agreement with british gas, they came and changed the inverter and magnatron, but it still gets hot. This heat soon goes when the microwave function is stopped. BGas told me not to use the oven and wrote it off (cost £300 when bought 4yrs ago!) and are offering me £62 towards a replacement.I spoke with panasonic and they said that the area where it gets hot is where the inverter is and this is normal. Has anyone got a similar oven and can they tell me if this level of heat generation is normal? I really do not want to bin this oven as it works perfectly well, grill, convection and microwave. Thanks
