Panasonic NV-GS30. I can view as normal through the LCD screen in camera mode but not during VCR.

I can view as normal through the LCD screen in camera mode but not during VCR. There is no sound or picture (Just a blank grey screen. It won't show anything that i previously recorded and i cant tell if its recording new stuff.Cheers
