Panasonic Phone Problem?

Question

It`s a cordless Panasonic phone which I`ve had for about a year now. And usually when it`s low on battery it beeps and won`t give me a ringtone. But lately, even after it being on the charger for awhile, it`ll still beep without a ringtone. Is it my phone company, Optimum? Does it usually take this long to charge a cordless phone? Or is there another problem? I`ve already checked the handbook that came with the phone to no success.

Hi clarafai:My first thought is that the battery needs charged or replaced. First, clean the contacts on the bottom of the phone & also the contacts in the base unit. Sin the charging current is very low to charge the battery, any type of oil, greasy potato chip residue can prevent full charge. Ues a pencil eraser or clean cloth. The phone should be placed in the base unit every night. Make sure the base unit charge light is on when the phone is in the base unit. Good luck.
