Panasonic SDR-H200 30GB 3C MOD Files

Question

I ,like many others on the internet bought this camera and have yet to find a software that will convert the .MOD files created by the camera to something I can use in Windows Movie Maker.

So now I am ready to purchase a software that will let a beginner take video off my hard drive camera in MOD format and create a simple time line video by converting the files or using them in that format.

I would like to be able to edit the files, modify and add music to the video similar to Window Movie Maker.

Can you recommend a software that will do this.
