Panasonic camcorder to vista through firewire?

Hi,

I've got a panasonic NV-GX7 camcorder, and I would like to be able to connect it to my desktop computer.

I've got all the hardware (firewire), but for some reason vista never detects when I plug-in.

The strange thing is that I had got it to work once, I was using it as a high quality webcam, but since I reinstalled vista, i can't seem to remember how I did it the first time.

Any help would be welcome,

It's a Vista problem, you need to contact panasonic to get a vista compatible driver.
