Pancake prickly pear cactus help!!!!!?

what kind of fruit does a pancake prickly pear cactus grow? PLZ help!!!

It doesn't. However if you remove the prickles and skin the "meat" you can eat it.

A "pear" the fruit of the plant. It makes good juice also.

The fruit is not usually considered, although after flowering it does have one. We can eat the flat fleshy leaf... rather tough and does not taste all that great (or an acquired taste). I never tried eating the fruit.

AS THE NAME IMPLIES IT GROWS A SORT OF PEAR THAT IS EDIBLE, AND TASTES RATHER NICE. IT TURNS A PURPLISH BLUE WHEN RIPE.
