  1. Whats wrong with that? I used to make them myself with bisquick-less chemicals. Put just a bit of syrup-so it would soak in but be less gooey--they would eat strips with their fingers. Also french toast strips are great.

  2. I don't see a problem with it. My little boy loves pancakes. Sometimes, he wants pancakes for lunch, lol.

  3. Sure, pancakes are great.  Most kids love 'em.  And you could use a little jam, or fruit spread, or syrup and/or butter as you wish and your toddler enjoys.

  4. My son loves pancakes.  He eats his with maple syrup.

  5. my daughter loves pancakes (she's 14 months old).  I get the mini-pancakes that you can microwave.  they are the perfect size for little hands.  I also get the mini-waffles with maple syrup already infused...its not as messy.

  6. mine eats them all the time.  we usually make a batch of  bisquick on the weekends and freeze the extras.  I put either applesauce or another pureed fruit or for special occasions, a little sugar free syrup.

  7.   she love them--  little bit of butter and fruit syrup ( make sure she's not allergic to like strawberries--  I almost gave my niece some strawberry syrup(real stuff, not the hershey type stuff)  not knowing she cant eat them--       or just do the maple syrup

  8. unless they've got a pre-existing allergy, it's pretty hard to kill kids with food in the short term!!

pancakes from a box are not the healthiest option though. they tend to be over-sweet, with lots of sugar, saturated fats and preservatives in them.  as well as this, they aren't actually any easier to make than making your own.

all you need to do is break an egg or two and mix in flour until it goes stiff and is really hard to stir and sticky.  then just add milk a little at a time until it gets to the consistency you're expecting (which will be different for thick pancakes than for crepes).  all you have to do then is fry in a little vegetable oil.

it's better not to give jam or other sugary foods to children under two as they develop a taste for refined sugars it's hard to cure them of.

it's much better if you use fresh fruit as a sweetener.  mashed banana is really nice, and you can actually fry banana chunks in with the batter to make banana fritters if you want a sweet version. you can also do this with apples, strawberries or other soft fruit.  that way your child gets all the fibre and vitamins from the fruit as well as the sugar.

  9. My son is one and he ears pancakes with a little butter (no syrup) and he loves them!

  10. my daughter was eating pancakes younger than 17 months she is 3 now but she has been eating pancakes since she started eating solid foods. they are perfectly fine. you can add a little jam or syrup what ever you usually put on your pancakes.
