Pankaj Advani looking forward to 2012 World Billiards Championship

With impressive performance in the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) Asian Snooker Championship, India’s Pankaj Advani was able to earn his place in the professional circuit of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).
The Indian potter failed to claim the Asian title but his opponent, Aditya Mehta was already in the pro circuit tour which automatically made him eligible for a place in the pro tour.
Besides ACBS tour, the youngster also showed great deal of determination in the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) tour playing up to the mark in the events. Along with that, he also continued participating in the billiards events which
is his specialty as he started his career from playing billiards. He is now looking forward to make an appearance in the upcoming 2012 World Billiards Championship which will commence from October in Leeds.
While speaking to World Snooker about his aims in the championship, Advani said, “I consider it an achievement and a challenge to be able to play both. I enjoy balancing the two. Billiards is more about follow-through while in snooker there are more stun
and s***w shots. The styles are contrasting and I enjoy that.”
Advani is currently playing the 2012-13 Snooker Season events and has grabbed a convincing start. He crashed out of the first matches of the qualifying sessions of 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker event and the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open. However, he has performed
impressively in the Players Tour Championship (PTC) and is looking for a positive outcome in the upcoming snooker events.
He spoke to World Snooker, “I'm finding it enjoyable and exciting. I'm just going with the flow and trying to play some beautiful snooker. Winning matches is a bonus. It's hard to predict how I will do because all of the other players are so good, but it's
fun and challenging.”
Billiards is Advani’s specialty and he will definitely bring fireworks in the 2012 World Billiards Championship. He will be facing familiar faces in the event and is expected to make it to the final stages of the event. He also has a lot of opportunities
in the 2012-13 Snooker Season where he can test his luck and skills.
