Panoramic xray?

can anyone tell me what they do for a panoramic xray. i know they have you stand in the big machine thing but do they put cotton in your mouth or anything??

they don't use cotton when i get them, they just have you stand and rest your chin on the chinrest and you bite on a little...stick kinda thing and the machine turns around you and it's done! it's nothing to worry about at alll.

no they don't use cotton i got one done when i was getting my retainer you just stand there and they put this little coat thing on you, then you put your chin on this platform and bite onto a piece of plastic and the machine turns around you then all done its not a big deal

these are soooo cool

you need to take out any metal earrings or face jewelry

(metal can alter the picture)

you rest your chin on a little platform

you have a plastic bit to bite on, to keep the teeth seperated

it takes a little longer than a standard xray, but not that long

the end picture is great. it shows all your teeth at once.
