On my pantech phone I woke up and saw this 3G sighn on my cellphone what does it mean?

  1. 3G is a quick speed internet network available on the go without having to use Wi-Fi

    That's why the iPhone 3G is called that. It's Safari(Internet explorer)is quick speed.

    3G is a new improvement from EDGE which was the previous Non Wi-Fi internet service.
