Panting cat will he be ok?

I just got my mother in law a cat and it was in a hot trunk for about 15 min while i took it to her house when i let him out of the box he started to pant will he be ok ive never seen him do this before so i think it was just from the heat and the stress am i right? thanks

WTF!  He's a living creature, not your groceries.  Would you put a human baby in the trunk?  Would you like to be locked in a hot car with no ventilation on a hot day?  Cars, even the trunk, heat up much faster than you think, and animals and babies are sensitive to that heat because they can't sweat like adults can.

He'll be okay in the long run, but he needs a cool room and a lot of water, right now.  Hopefully you learned an important lesson about animal care, and hopefully your mother-in-law will show more common sense in caring for this animal.  This could qualify as animal neglect, and is illegal in most cities.

If the cat hasn't stopped panting, yet, get a towel.....wet it with cold water, and wrap it around him.  Hold him in this cold towel for a few minutes to cool him down quickly.

If he's still showing signs of the heat in an hour, call your vet, explain what happened, and ask if there's anything ELSE you can do.

Hope you've learned a valuable lesson from this.......NEVER put ANY LIVING THING in a trunk!  If the weather is hot, they can die from the heat or suffocate.....if the weather is cold they can freeze.  Trunks are not made for carrying living beings.....animal or human!

He could have heat stroke be careful give him plenty of freezing cold water and if he doesnt  stop in a couple days take him to the vet

cars are really hot your cat was not only fatigued butr feared for its life dont do that ever !trunks are bad, get a cat carrier you cat is traumitized he"ll get over it in a few days just give him lots of love and plenty of liquids some toys may snap him/her out of it,dont worry the cat will forget about it soon,but they lose trust easily so be careful with the choices you make,if not your cat could be sick take it to the vet if nothing works

IN THE TRUNK ARE YOU CRAZY! you should never never never place an animal in the trunk since it was a cat and small you should have put it into the seat next to you. Make sure you give it lots of water and let it cool down also bring it to a vet if it doesn't get better with in like half an hour

Are u insane? What kind of idiot or monster are u to leave a cat in your trunk? You're lucky it's still alive!! Take it to the vet immediately!!

my first question to you would be, why are you placing a cat in a trunk??  that is very cruel and inhumane and you are lucky the cat is still alive.  you NEVER place an animal in the trunk of a car because of the heat, it can KILL them immediately!  the cat is stressed, and possibly in shock now, it needs to be kept in a cool place with plenty of water.

Give the cat ice cold water, keep  out of outside or even inside heat, (turn ur air condition lower so it'll be cooler) AND DONT PUT HIM IN THE TRUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
