Question:

Pantylines?? Acceptable? Did I miss a fashion memo?!?!?

Hi - I was wondering, did I miss a fashion memo regarding pantylines? I was downtown yesterday, and happened to notice a fashonable young lady wearing white pants but with pantylines showing. I thought nothing of it - just a bad choice of panties. But, then I started noticing, almost 3/4 of the people I saw wearing white or light colored clothes had pantylines showing. And a good portion of these were very well dressed young ladies. It was something I had never noticed before.

So I was wondering, has this become "in" or acceptable? I have always put on thongs to avoid the pantylines, but maybe there is a new trend?

Has anyone else noticed the same?

  1. ew. please no pantylines. it's just a bad taste coming from those people, not attractive like at all.

  2. No, I don't think so. But having the side straps of panties show was in a while back so who knows. Soooooooooooo tacky!

  3. Alot of girls claim the "I don't care how I look, as long as I'm comfortable" bullshit line. Personally, I NEVER leave the house with pantylines showing, muffintops spilling over my jeans, or ill-fitting clothes in general. I also NEVER leave the house wearing sweats. Not only is it about personal image, but people always respect a well-dressed person over one who looks sloppy. Its not just fashion sense, its good sense in general.

  4. just avoid it.

even if it happens to be "in" it's just one of those mistakes fashion makes every once in a while.

pantly lines is like the bra strap showing trend - unecessary, and take something away from your look.

most of those people you saw, though, prbably didn't notice it, or think it was a big problem.

    :]
