Paola Moreno' job done at Symetra Tour, heads to LPGA
Colombian Paola Moreno is one of the ten most successful Symetra Tour contenders who are now getting ready to start their 2013 LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) season.
Moreno has come out as the fast-learning star on the Symetra Tour as she has shown that she is capable of taking the heat to a bigger stage.
Moreno clinched one victory and a total five top-10 finishes. Overall, she has been able to pocket $50,908 in the season. However, her success story goes far beyond winning a tournament and
recording top-ten finishes.
The Colombian golfer began her rookie year in 2009, but the recently-concluded season proved a turning point in her golfing career. Moreno is now going to storm onto the LPGA scene with the
same passion and vigour as she showed during the last Symetra Tour season.
The season saw her in good shape in most of the tournaments. Her best performance was seen at the Eagle Classic as she finished first after shooting an overall 207 on the leaderboard.
Moreno looked fired up in the second round, registering a 66. She kept the momentum going in the third round as well, posting a 69 to further cement her position on the leaderboard. The victory
earned her $15000.
The Ladies Titan Tire Challenge was the scene of a tough battle that saw the Colombian star unveil her best putting skills. Although she failed to win the event, finishing third earned her
a much-needed $7,423.
She got off to a fiery start to her campaign as she posted a 68 on the leaderboard.
Another tournament that reflected Moreno’s hidden talent is Vidalia Championship 2012. She carded an overall 209 to take the second position. Although she failed to make a fast start, shooting
a 69 in the third and final round did the trick.
According to observers, her Vidalia Championship performance was sensational in every sense because she came close to beating her nearest rival. A few slip-ups in the final moments took her
away from the victory, which could have been her if she had held her nerve in playoff.
Apparently, the ambitious golfer has made certain that she is going to play pro golf for a long time, but the LPGA has evolved into a much stronger Tour featuring player from across the world.
So, the need of the hour is to further refine her game.
The 2013 LPGA will certainly add shine to Moreno’s profile as she has often vowed to make her mark. When it comes to experience, Moreno stands taller than most of her peers.
