Cannavaro believes that it is a perfect time to avenge his team’s defeat, but he wants his side to focus only on their performances. He insisted that the team is extremely motivated to perform well, but he is expecting a stern
test from the Nerazzurri.
While talking to the reporters, Cannavaro said,
“We are in a rematch with the Nerazzurri who have eliminated us from the Coppa Italia before. We want sporting revenge. We are motivated, we want to get through. It will be difficult to mark the likes of [Giampaolo] Pazzini and
[Diego] Milito.”
Napoli have been in inconsistent form of late, but the Partenopei skipper insists that the team is clam and they are not panicking in the situation. Cannavaro believes that despite dropping points in the league, his team has been
in superb form in the UEFFA Champions League.
“We do not feel under attack, we are calm and serene even through criticism. Napoli is still the same, we give everything in every game, we’ve dropped points in the League and won them in the Champions League when we would like

The 30-year-old admitted to his team’s struggles, but he believes that it has been due to mistakes of the individuals and not the whole team. The former Parma star is extremely disappointed with the dropped points against lower
tier sides, Siena and Bologna recently.
Napoli’s European commitments have taken its toll on their domestic performances so far. The Azzurri are currently placed seventh in the league table with 29 points from 19 matches played thus far.
