Paolo Lorenzi upsets Ivan Ljubicic
Italian qualifier, Paolo Lorenzi has made his career best at the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open when he made it to the second round for the first time on Wednesday.
Lorenzi moves ahead in the event after successfully dismissing Croat, Ivan Ljubicic in straight sets who was the 2006 Sony Ericsson open runner-up. Lorenzi played Ljubicic for the first time in his career and wrapped his victory
in one hour and forty four minutes.
Given the huge difference in rankings, it came as a shocking surprise for everyone when Lorenzi moved past Ljubicic in straight sets.

the seventh game, the Italian clinched the set with a breadstick win.
Lorenzi will next face Richard Gasquet of France who received a bye into the second round.
