The former Rossoneri defender has stressed that he has no role at Paris Saint-Germain, and has nothing to do with the Brazilian’s expected move to the French outfit.
Paolo Maldini has refuted convincing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 to move to Paris Saint-Germain from AC Milan, and has stated that the Rossoneri fan in him does not support the sale of the irreplaceable defender.
The former Diavolo defender spent the last six months of his tenure at San Siro training alongside the Brazilian defender, and reportedly enjoys a good rapport with his former team-mate.
The retired Italian international also has close bonds with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056, his former colleagues at AC Milan, who now serve as manager and sporting director at the Paris outfit respectively.
Silva is on the verge of signing with PSG for a deal that transcends the €40m mark, and Maldini has reacted angrily to claims suggesting that the veteran had a big hand is convincing the Diavolo defender to leave San Siro.
Maldini stated that the fact that he is being dragged into a matter that has nothing to do with him is baffling, and stressed that he never approached the 27-year-old for any such move.
The former Casciavit player went on to assure that he holds no official position at PSG and neither has been offered one, and revealed that his only purpose behind his trip to Paris was to congratulate Carlos Ancelotti for his first game with his new outfit.
While talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the 43-year-old said:
“I never tried to convince Thiago Silva to join the cause at Paris Saint-Germain. I don’t understand why they continue to draw me to the stake. I repeat - I have no role at PSG and I haven’t ever been offered one either. I was in Paris in January because

Maldini went on to plead his innocence stating that he does not possess the phone number of Silva, and was in no position to locate the Rosssoneri defender even if he wanted to.
