Paper Round Pay?

Question

How much would the average paper round get paid weekly?

(If it matters I live in Manchester , UK)

Also, if anyone knows, what time would they start, and how long would it take (I know it varies but a rough idea)

I used to do a paer round and I had to be up at 7.30 and it took my about an hour but my sisters helped me deliver them!

Well Firstly, it depends if you deliver the Daily Mail or other popular Newspapers that you buy from the shop or the Local Newspaper- that normally gets delivered to your door.

If you deliver the Daily Mail or the sun etc.., you get around £20.00 ish, i think. And if you deliver the Popular Newspapers then you would have to start pretty early around 6.30-7.00AM. If you get around 200 papers it will take you 1 and half hours at the most if your fast or if you're quite a slow walker it will take you up to possibly 3 hours.

If your agent gives you leaflets, you are going to earn more. The more leaflets you get- the more money you get.

I Deliver the Local Guardian and without leaflets i get around £9.00

and if i get about 2 more different kind of stack of leaflets i get £12.00 altogether. And Because i deliver the Local paper, it doesnt mean i have to do it in the morning and i can do it after school or in the evening sometime- The agent expects you to do it in the evening anyway. I deliver about 180 papers and it takes me 2 and a half hours to deliver it alltogether.

Again, if you deliver for a different paper company that has two different papers together you get around £24.00 for that- plus the extra leaflets you MAY** get.

**You dont always get leaflets to deliver every week.

The average number of papers you are expected to deliver is 200. So, if it takes you like 10 seconds to put a paper through a door, its not going to take too long to do 200 doors :P

Also it is easy if you have a trolley-- you get it dun quicker !!!

The newsagents or a person will give u one anyway lol
