  1. Well, I live in Xylofagou, about 8K from Agia Napa! I have to say, I think our ( Eastern) side of the island is much nicer!! Check out Protaras? About 35 mins from Larnaca airport....most of the hotels are situated on the shoreline of Fig Tree Bay, and Flamingo Bay, all within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants.

September is a great tome to come, still hot in the daytime, and warm at night!! You'll love it here!!

  2. Paphos definitely, it was one of the best holidays ever, We stayed at Aphrodite hills, which is expensive but there is also another town called Pissouri about 30 minutes from Paphos, and if you go, make sure you take the coastal route, its so beautiful. Paphos is a lovely city, very relaxed but also has a lot of life , lovely places to eat as well!

  3. I wold say paphos because of all the military dispute however if you want somewhere very and i mean very nice go to a village called lachi they have scuba diving lovely beaches villas a campsite lovely restaurants and tourist attraction! However if you go to Paphos your basiclly going to a more exotic london and is that really what you go to cyprus for? O rdo you go to relax LACHI is my choice lol thanks to their im a qualified scuba diver too lolbut its up too you lol

  4. paphos

  5. I would prefer to stay in Paphos than Limassol, I also feel I am on holiday when in go there (i'm from Larnaca) Try to stay a few days in the Troodos mountains or even Ayia Napa.

If you have not booked yet take a look at this company, they have fantastic villas in Coral bay and are really nice people.

  6. I spent a week in Paphos at the end of August last year, just before you intend on going.  It was wonderful.  We stayed at the Azia Resort.  Reasonably priced with great grounds, a wonderful restaurant (with a number of others within walking distance) and a great spa.

You may want to stay away from Limassol during that time.  A number of the nations who have military forces in Afghanistan use Cyprus as a R&R site for returning troops and I believe they are using Limassol during that time frame.  The guys and gals are normally pretty well behaved so thats not an issue, it's just the sheer numbers of them that will make it difficult to get rooms, resturants or tours.  Just a "safety tip" for you.
