Papua New Guinea Under-19s v West Indies Under-19s - http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Under-19 World Cup 2012 – (12th Match - Group C) – Match Update
A spectacular half-ton by wicketkeeper batsman Sunil Ambris saw the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 Under-19s claiming a massive 9-wicket victory with 230 balls remaining over the Papua New Guinea Under-19s, in the 12th match of the ongoing ICC Under-19 World Cup
at Endeavour Park in Townsville, today on August 13.
Papua New Guinea won the toss and opted to bat first, but were unable to do justice to their decision, with skipper Christopher Kent top-scoring for his side with 39, while Jerome http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kyle-R-Mayers-c71976 (4-0-12-3) teamed up to bowl  Papua New
Guinea out at 116.
Their innings got off to a poor start, with openers Lega Siaka (2) and Vagi Oala (2) dismissed for paltry scores. Coming in at number 3, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kent-c802 contributed 39, but was unable to find a consistent batsman to partner with. Mayers dismissed Sese Bau (4) in the
16th over, and followed that up with two wickets – http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Charles-Amini-c49702 (1) and Dogodo Bau (0) – in the 18th over.
Kent himself was sent packing in the 24th over by Akeal Hosein (6-1-23-2), making way for the duo of Nigel Boge (21) and Chad Soper (23) – the only other batsmen who managed to reach double digits. Their 7th-wicket 38-run stand got
the team up to 100 by the 32nd over, and the remainder of the batting order – Norman Vanua (0), Toua Tom (7), and Raymond Haoda (2*) – crumbled without offering much resistance. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Papua-New-Guinea-c41002 eventually finished, all out, at 116 by the end of
41 overs.
The West Indies U-19s, however, only needed 12 overs to successfully complete the chase, courtesy a quick-fire 91 off 43 by Player of the Match Ambris, who smashed 9 fours and 7 sixes while contributing to a solid 111-run opening stand with skipper Kraigg
Brathwaite (17*).  His innings saw the economy rates of the opposition’s bowlers soaring – Amini gave away 43 in just 2 overs, while Soper bled 39 in 3.
Ambris was dismissed by Sese Bau on the first delivery of the 12th over, but the damage had already been done. His successor http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Argentine-Campbell-c67325, smashed a final 6 to propel the team to a spectacular victory, reaching 117 with 230 deliveries remaining,
at the expense of just one wicket.
