Parade Float Ideas?????

Question

I am from a small town and work at the local visitor information centre which is run by the chamber of commerce. We also have a heritage museum in our building. I am looking for a theme for our parade. Something that will go with the tourist bureau, or museum..or chamber OR i could do anything else like "summer fun". Any ideas or suggestions to get me going would be great...thank you

Honestly Petals... I'd need to know the name of the TOWN to give a good answer !! There might be something in History, Industry, Business or Tourism particular to YOUR location that would be perfect.

An example, here in San Carlos, California during out "Home-Town Days" celebration... floats often deal with either: our Mission history from the 1830's, our place in the Dot-Com and Computer industries, our Redwoods, the San Francisco Bay, or Pacific Ocean.
