I am in a Jitter whether to choose one among these. Both of them outperformed but i don't know how well they perform at home because i heard them on accoustic treated environment. Dealers hesitate to give home demo? Users of either speakers pls convey your experience. Pal! Thx for helping.

  1. They are both seriously nice speakers. If you listened to them in the same environment, even though acoustically treated, they should compare equally in your home. They both may not sound as nice in you home, but then you might be surprised. Your AVR might be able to auto-eq them nicely and you can tweak things to your liking.

The KEF speakers have a little better frequency response both high and low but are less sensitive than the Paradigms (88dB vs 94dB). The paradigms would be easier to drive. Both are rated at 130W sustained power.

If you like the way both sounded at the dealer equally it boils down to price and aesthetics. Which one do you think looks nicer. I personally like the KEF line up a little better over all, but then that's really just my opinion. I prefer the Klipsch RF82 or RF62 over these.

P.S. You should try building your won room treatments. They are actually pretty easy to build. You just need some Owens Corning 703 insulation (2" or 4") some burlap (or Guildford of Maine fabric) and a frame.
