What distinguishes a paradoxical reaction from akathisia in a patient whose "anxiety" significantly worsens upon administration of SSRI's?

  1. I believe this process is transmitted in the neurons as we know the hypothalmus is our natural opiate producing organ if it does  its job and you induce SSRI, somewhere in the synoptic phase the neuro transmitters cannot bind properly and it brings your overall anxiety level up.


  2. I have found no difference as akathisia would be a paradoxical reaction to medication known to reduce anxiety. Apparently it is better to avoid SSRIs for vitamin usage.
