  1. I think it will be ok, but if after a little while they get a little aggressive and start to fight it might be a good idea to separate them. Hope it helps!

  2. I wouldn't chance it. Parakeets can be extremely aggressive, particularly toward other bird species! They like to attack feet especially, which is very painful and can lead to some serious bleeding and infection. House them separately, save the canary!

  3. im sorry but i dont think this will be ok unless they are very young. if birds that share the same cage that arent the same species can get very aggressive towards eachother. this could lead to fights and they could injure eachother. hope this helps

  4. NOT AT ALL.

parakeets are bullies, and they will bully canarys, even cockatiels which are large than them, some people have success with them living together in large avairys as the canarys have room to hide.

so if you dont want a dead bird on your hand, bad idea.

  5. If the aviary is large enough, it is possible they can get along fine. It is preferred they get separate avaiaries - though. Parakeets tend to like to pick on other birds by pulling their feathers out and such. I know parakeets can't get along with doves at all.

As long as they can get away from each other, it should be fine. Here is a photo of a toucan aviary with sun conures in it - so it makes parakeets and canaries definitely possible!
